We have 65 acres of woods, with numerous ash trees. We are hoping that not all will succumb to ash die back and, unlike some nearby estates, we will not just cut them down without giving them a chance. However, we have plenty of stock to harvest routinely and we can produce fantastic naturally seasoned firewood logs. Using fossil fuels to dry logs does not seem right to us but the sun, wind and time do it just as well and ash burns very well even if slightly above the level achieved in a kiln. We measure it and will tell you what the moisture content is on delivery. Leaving it a few weeks if you can help with lighting.
It helps us if you don’t mind logs of a variety of sizes and shapes up to 9 inches long. You can collect a few for cash most of the time and we deliver in a trailer for £150 a trailer load. This is a generous size and if you are not happy you will not come back for your next load. We can stack at £20 an hour per person. This usually costs about £20.
