Beautifully sited in the Kennet Valley near Marlborough in Wiltshire, Grove Farm is a 235 acre farm with 65 acres of semi ancient woodland and the remainder in grass.

We have about 80 pedigree Hereford cows, known as sucklers, and they produce a calf each year. We breed from some of the progeny, sell some as breeding animals to other farmers, and the rest go to our local butcher Andrews of Marlborough or are sold in our shop. We have 10 grass fields. Each field is bordered by mature woodland. We rent in another 60 acres from our neighbours. We also put many of our cows each year into large fence enclosures in the Savernake Forest. The land is totally organic and the cows love the variety of forage and browsing. Beech leaves are their favourite.

Conservation and ecological diversity are our passions and although not organic we use minimal sprays, medicines and fertilizers. Wild flowers and weeds coexist with our fertile high quality clover rich grazing.

Our beautiful woodlands of mature ash, oak and maple over predominantly hazel coppice are used for firewood, and leisure. We host camping groups and have the occasional wedding party.
