We decided to focus on Hereford Cattle when we finished being a dairy farm.

They produce the best meat and look fantastic on grass and are lovely to look after. Our pedigree herd is called Stitchcombe and is based on the well known Cato Herd established by Jonathan and Rosemary Moorhouse in Somerset. We have two stock bulls Cato 1 Gladstone and Weybrook 1 Midas from Harold Hatt.

Our plan is to show a few heifers and bulls at local shows and build a reputation for quality animals with good temperaments. We target selling 5 heifers and 3 bulls in each year. Enquires are welcome.

Our herd is registered with the Hereford Society as herd prefix Stitchcombe and herd number UK 323802

We are registered under the SAC Premium Cattle Health Scheme for Johnes, IBR, BVD and Lepto.

We have an annual TB test in around February of each year. We have not had a TB positive in recent years and we try to avoid any contact with other animals. We only buy in bulls from approved sources clear of any disease.
